He said, "The Lord gave, the Lord withheld; it happened as the Lord desired for me; let the Name of the Lord be praised by all on Earth and in Heaven." Because he did not let his mind be saddened, the Lord saved him. 2When the Lord saw that Job’s heart was cleansed from sin, He received him with great honor. 3And He gave him wealth that abounded more than his previous wealth, because he had completely endured his tribulation. He cured him of his wounds because of his endurance through all the trials that came upon him. 4And if you, like him, endure the tribulation coming from the demons sent against you, you will be admired. 5Endure the tribulation so that the Lord might be a fortress of refuge for you against those who hate you, and that He might be a fortress of refuge for your children's children and those after you. Do not let your minds be saddened by the trials that come upon you; believe in Him, and He shall be your fortress. 6Beg Him, and He will hear you. Have hope, and He will forgive you. Beg Him, and He will be a Father to you. 7Think of Mordecai and Esther, Judith and Gideon, Deborah and Barak, Jephthah and Samson... 8...and other persons like them who were disciplined to believe in the Lord and whose enemies did not defeat them. 9For the Lord is True, and He does not show favoritism. But those who love to commit sin against themselves receive hardship. All who fear Him and keep His Law shall preserve their bodies, and He shall give them love and honor. 10He shall make them joyful in their going out and their coming in, in their life and their death, and in their rising and sitting. For He saves, and He sets apart. 11For He brings sadness, and He brings pardon. 12He makes poor, and He honors; He makes wretched, and when He honors, He makes them joyful. ‹Previous chapter3 Meqabyan 7Next chapter3 Meqabyan 9›Similar passagesBy tradition and source labelFind similarCompare selectedCompare with similarAsk Deep ThoughtSelect passages to search for parallels.Tap any verse to select it, then compare selected passages or ask Deep Thought.
